Easy Garlic Bread

This is my quick and easy recipe to make your own delicious garlic bread. The perfect accompaniment for many meals… You only need a few simple ingredients too!

Ingredients

  • generous knob of butter

  • 3 large cloves of garlic

  • 1 teaspoon of dried mixed herbs

  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried tarragon

  • 3 cm stem of rosemary

  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice


Method

  1. Peel and very finely chop the garlic. Set aside.

  2. Separate the rosemary leaves from the stem and very finely chop the leaves. Set aside.

  3. Place the butter in a ramekin and add the chopped garlic, rosemary, mixed herbs and tarragon.

  4. Knead the butter with the back of a spoon until the butter is soft and all the ingredients are evenly spread throughout.

  5. Add the lemon juice and stir into the mix to give the garlic butter some freshness.

  6. Generously spread the garlic butter onto freshly toasted bread, then place under a warm grill for three minutes until the garlic bread is an appetising golden-brown colour.

  7. Serve and enjoy with your meal.
